Directions from Hobart

Buttongrass Retreat lives up to its name. There are no street lights and few people to ask the way after hours. We recommend that you plan your trip to arrive before dark.

• Be sure to get your key code and keybox location before you leave phone connection, preferably the day before your booked arrival. From 9am to 7pm only, phone 0427 648465
• Departing Hobart City centre, follow Davey Street to the A6 Southern Outlet.
• Follow the signs 42km to Huonville. Cross the Huon River and continue another 25km to Dover.
• Continue 12 km south on the A6. Follow the main road as it sweeps right at the Southport junction.
• Continue 6 km to Lune River, then 3km to Ida  Bay.
• Two metres north of the railway crossing, turn into the gravel
  driveway. This is Buttongrass Retreat.
• Your key will open the gate. It is then 400m to the carpark and house.
